1. Register an account – by visiting the Jasper.AI website and then selecting ‘Try Jasper Free,’ enter your registration details.
2. Choose a plan – that will suit your needs. There will be some limitations as mentioned later, and you have to choose what best suits you. For this example, we chose the second plan, Teams, to generate more text, but you can start with the first one. At the time of writing this article, Jasper.AI was offering a 7-day trial. You can easily cancel the subscription before the first payment.
3. Get familiar with your user environment – From your dashboard, click on ‘Create new content’ and select ‘New from template.’
4. Template selection – You can see how many different tools are available. Amazing!
5. Providing information – This is a crucial step that will affect your final results. To get a good output from the robot, you should provide it with a good input. Mostly, it will require the following:

Tone of Voice – In almost any tool it offers, the robot will want to know the tone of voice for its text. You may not think it’s necessary, but the opposite is true. Imagine that you have a funeral company, and you need to create an ad description of your services. Would you be satisfied if a robot were to create a funny text? Vice versa, if you are a comedian, you wouldn’t want serious and somber titles for your social media posts. You can use adjectives such as funny, friendly, polite, professional, non-formal, formal, or even in the style of well-known personalities like Oprah Winfrey.

Audience – In some templates, Jasper.AI wants to know more information about your audience to tailor the text correctly.

Keywords – When generating text, you might want to use keywords for better SEO of your blog post or YouTube video. Separate them by commas.

Other Information – According to the given template, custom information is needed from you. For example, information about your company, product information if you want to create advertisement text, and so on.

In our first example, we picked the Blog Post Intro Paragraph template.
Imagine having a blog about pets, and you want to create a new blog post about toxic food to avoid giving to your cat.

In August 2022 Jasper AI introduced a new functionality – Jasper Art. That was their huge step forward, because since that moment they specialized only on text outputs.
So, what is it? It’s also a Generative AI tool but instead of text, it generates you royalty-free original images that you can use anywhere! Based on your text input, you can create paint art, sketches, video thumbnails, and basically anything you can imagine.
Since July 2023, in order to have Jasper AI functionality, you had to buy another subscription for additional cost. However, now you can use it with other texting tools just for buying basic creator plan!

• Simplicity
  We were very surprised by how simple the user dashboard is. We were able to create a paragraph for our article example in 10 minutes, including registration and navigating through the user panel. It’s also easy to use, and there is a minimum of information and setups you have to give them. The rest is handled by the AI.

  There are 50 or more templates you can choose from. You will find anything you would really expect from a text writing tool.
  
• Inspiring
  It can inspire you to write about topics you never imagined. When starting a blog post, it’s often difficult to find a good starting point. Jasper.AI can give you what you really need – a good starting point.
  
• Pricing
  Fair pricing, which depends on whether you’re a part of a team or an individual. Also, all plans now offer an unlimited number of words per month you can generate! This is a huge plus.

Cons

To be honest, there are some cons of using Jasper.AI.

• You still have to work.
  There is still some work involved in creating your content. You have to create an input for AI. The final result really depends on what you give there, so you have to think about it deeply, what exactly you want to generate. Then, you have to read it and correct possible false information that it can generate. You don’t want to just copy-paste the result and push it to your blog. Read it, correct it, or tell the AI to improve some part of the text. You have to play with that. But anyway, it’s pretty entertaining!

• Lack of “humanity”
  Well, it’s just an AI model with no real emotions like we have, although it can learn and be better in the future. Always think twice if your readers would like the generated text, and maybe, rewrite some weird words or phrases that the model generates for you.
